The Community Edition of the Velocity Framework is freely available on NuGet and requires no license or registration. It is designed for developers who want to evaluate Velocity, build smaller applications, or work exclusively with open-source databases without any commercial commitment.

Advanced capabilities including enterprise database connectors, geospatial data types, full-text indexing, schema versioning, and multi-schema management are available to subscribers only. Upgrading to a full subscription requires no code changes.

A YndigoBlue subscription covers the complete, continuously evolving portfolio of YndigoBlue software products — software you download, install, and run on your own infrastructure. This includes the full Velocity Framework with support for all seven database platforms, the Teradata Full-Text Search library, the Foundry command-line tooling, and every new software product released going forward, all under a single annual subscription.

Subscribers also gain access to the private YndigoBlue NuGet feed, delivering patch releases, pre-release builds, and new packages the moment they are published. Your subscription keeps you on the latest version of everything without managing multiple licenses.

The subscription covers software products only. YndigoBlue hosted API services are metered cloud services with their own usage-based pricing and are not included in, or required by, a software subscription.

Partner Access is available to qualifying non-profit organizations, students (for academic use), and individuals working on personal non-commercial projects. Partners receive access to static long-term support (LTS) releases of the Cross-Platform version of the Velocity Framework and other YndigoBlue software — stable, well-tested versions suitable for non-commercial use.

Partner Access carries no technical support obligation and does not include access to the private NuGet feed or pre-release packages. Use must remain non-commercial. YndigoBlue reserves the right to review and revoke partner status at any time.

Hosted services you call over HTTPS — nothing to install, nothing to host, no infrastructure to keep running. A single API key gives you every YndigoBlue API, including each new one as it launches, all drawing on the same balance and the same invoice.

Genuinely inexpensive. No monthly fee, no seat count, no minimum spend and no contract. You buy credit when you want it and each call draws down against it — most everyday test datasets cost a fraction of a cent. If you stop calling, you stop paying.

First up: Alchemy — synthetic test data. Whole multi-table datasets from a single request, generated in dependency order with realistic typed fields covering people, addresses, dates, numbers, text and geospatial. Seeded and fully deterministic, so the same request always returns the same data and works as a fixed test fixture. Content in 25 languages, delivered as a packaged CSV bundle or inline JSON. You send a schema, not records — no production data ever leaves your systems.

How billing works. Credit is prepaid and never expires, so you can never spend more than the balance you have already bought and nothing is charged automatically without your say-so. Every call is itemized, and optional auto top-up keeps things running hands-free within limits you set.

Completely independent of the software subscription: you can take out an API subscription on its own, and a software subscription neither includes nor requires one.
